FCR CARBURETOR


Keihin was asked by the top racing teams to develop state-of-the-art carburetors for their factory Superbike racing motorcycles. The FCR carburetors are the result of this request. Along with the highest level of technology available, the FCR carburetors have proven their advantage with race wins around the world.
Keihin has succeeded in developing a carburetor with effortless and smooth throttle control. In order to be able to move the throttle slide with the least possible effort against the high vacuum of today's 4-stroke engines, the sealing and the guiding functions of the throttle slide need to be seperated. The FCR throttle slide is guided by 4 rollers in the carburetor housing. The sealing of the throttle slide to the carburetor body is done via the floating throttle slide plate, which is sealed to the throttle slide at all times by a flexible seal.
The throttle slide lever, which transfers the rotary movement of the throttle shaft into a lifting movement of the throttle slide, is also equipped with rollers to keep friction as low as possible.
